Presentation at BSI’s Cyber Security Day highlights threats, defense strategies

At the 17th Cyber Security Day organized by the German Federal Office for Information Security’s Cyber Security Alliance, GSMK held the opening talk on securing industrial control systems against attacks over the air interface. Stressing the increased risk resulting from machine-to-machine communication over public cellular networks, the presentation surveyed the pitfalls of M2M communication over various modern wireless communication standards, successful practical attacks observed in the recent past, and defense strategies for manufacturing companies.
